I was born 1960 in upper Austria and grew up in an extended family in the countryside.

This contributed to both my love for nature as well as my interest in groups and their processes.

After finishing the social academy in 1982 in Vienna, I worked with prisoners and later in the psychiatric hospital.

Several long stays in India and Southeast Asia influenced my interest in Eastern practices, such as meditation. 

Shorter stays in America, Australia and Africa extended my understanding of other societies and cultures.

I have been practicing psychotherapy independently since 1993.
